Astrology for the Week of January 3, 2011

The theme for this week is War bonnet: Advance. Its message is to not waste energy on going backward or staying the doldrums. The advance can be on any level, spiritual, physical, mental or emotionally. Remember to be confident and begin advancing toward your goals.

This year starts off with potent energy, so it is a great time to advance. On Tuesday, January 4, there is a New Moon in Capricorn along with a Solar Eclipse. A solar eclipse adds impact to a New Moon and gives added support to new beginnings. The New Moon in Capricorn gives practical direction to endeavors that are close to the heart. Pluto is conjunct this eclipse which says that your advancement will flow better if you get rid of whatever no longer supports you. It is just dead weight holder you back. Saturn is square all this heavenly goings on which will let you know what is blocking you. So, don’t feel that something is not meant to be if you experience no forward motion with these aspects. Persistence will pay off in the long run.

To add another layer to the mix, Jupiter and Uranus are trine Venus. Keywords for these planets are: Luck, Change and Love and Money. So, this day will be one of advancement, resistance, letting go, luck and changes in love and money. Kind of like the weather in Central Oregon, if you don’t like what you are experiencing, just wait and it will be completely different is a short period of time. So the bottom line is if you are experiencing resistance and obstacles when you try to advance, let go of what is stopping you because that action will pave the road for positive changes in love and money.

Wednesday, January 5, Venus is square Chiron (Healing). This will bring up issues that have not been resolved. Healing will happen by letting go of something which has outlived its purpose or by adding renewed energy into a relationship which has gone on auto pilot. Use intuitive guidance today for direction as to which way it is destined to go. Just let what is supposed to happen - happen.

Friday, January 7, the Sun is square Saturn which may make you feel frustrated and depressed. This is a good time to do practical mundane tasks such as organizing your receipts for income tax time or deleting old files you really don’t need any more from your hard drive. The good news is that Venus moves into Sagittarius today and will be there until February 3. This will increase opportunities for money, relationships and creativity. So clean up and organize your life so you are ready to take advantage of these opportunities.
