Astrology for the week of July 23, 2012

The theme for this week is embrace adversity.  So many people are focused on finding nirvana, the place where war, negativity, anger, etc. does not exist.  They try to focus only on positive thoughts thinking that that is the key to a happy life.  However, this is not true; we actually need negativity in order to experience the full benefit of creativity.  Research has shown that people who only express positive thoughts have lower levels of creativity and innovative ideas than individuals who are subjected to criticism.  Companies such as Pixar and 3M have found that individuals come up with better ideas and solutions after intense critical debate of the projects being worked on.  The key of course, is to not take the criticism personally.  Therefore, this week embrace adversity and negativity, as they will inspire you to find the working creative solutions to your current dilemmas.

Monday, July 23, a Yod consisting of Pluto (death and rebirth), Chiron (healing), and Mercury (communication) will begin.  This configuration peaks on the 26thand ends on the 27^th.  This aspect, which is also known as the “Finger of God” will bring out challenging critical thoughts or obstacles to your projects at hand.  This is the perfect day to begin applying the theme for this week as you could experience shock or be stunned by the backlash you experience.  However, if you can avoid judgment, this energy will be like a star being born, bringing forth incredible ideas and working solutions to issues you have been working on.

Tuesday, July 24, Jupiter (opportunities) makes a square (challenges, opposition) to Chiron (healing).  This also could appear as a setback to your health.  Just remember that it really is creating energy for the good health or healing that you desire. Sometimes, the reason why we get sick is because we are so busy that that is the only way the universe can slow us down so that we can regenerate and listen.

Wednesday, July 25, we will experience a Mercury-Uranus trine.  If you have not had any great ideas of solutions manifest before you, today is the day. 

Saturday, July 28, Mercury is busy again with a conjunction to the Sun.  This will be a feel-good day with confidence at an all time high.  You will feel that you can really manifest something wonderful and positive in your world. It reminds me of the Stark Trek quote “To boldly go where no man has gone before.”

The card that I pulled for this week is Play from Doreen Virtue.  “Beloved One, it is time to set aside work for a while.  Playfulness, gaiety, and laughter will lift your energy so that you will return to work with a renewed perspective and heightened energy.”
