The theme for this week is self-awareness. Become aware of what you are thinking as most of our thoughts are on autopilot. Caroline Myss says that all suffering stems from ignorance, hatred, and craving. Adyashanti says suffering comes from not seeing things as they are. Our thoughts are the reason for our suffering.
Monday, March 12, our friend, Mercury, goes retrograde today at 12:48 am PDT and goes direct on April 4. This is generally not the best time to start new projects as Mercury retrograde brings issues with communication, computers, and travel. Back up your computer hard drives and run a utility program if you haven’t’ done so recently. This is especially important because of the solar storm that we had last week. Technology was definitely affected. Mercury retrograde along with a Uranus conjunction and a Pluto square means that the effects of the retrograde will be more prominent than usual.
On that note, in one of Dr. Christiane Northrup’s newsletters, (July/August 2005), she mentioned Paul Jennings, who coined the term, “resistenialism.” Resistentialism is a theory that inanimate objects can demonstrate hostile behavior against us. Anu Garg (Wordsmith.org) stated, “If you ever get a feeling that the photocopy machine can sense when you’re tense, short of time or need a document copied before an important meeting and right then it decides to take a break- you’re not alone.” We all can relate to this be it our computer, printer, scanner or copy machine. So, slow down, breathe, let go, and allow extra time, otherwise you will experience resistentialism during this Mercury retrograde.
On a positive note, there are benefits for Mercury retrograde. It is a wonderful time for reflection, introspection, and becoming at peace with what is. Any opposition or issues you experience during this retrograde simply shows where you are not in harmony in your life. So, instead of trying to start something new, joyfully accept and commit to the choices that you have already made.
Wednesday, March 14, we experience the peak of a Pluto, Venus, Jupiter, and Mars grand trine. This is positive free flowing power to make major shifts in the areas of money, love, and opportunity. Remember we experience what we believe to be true. What do you believe?
Sunday, March 18, we will experience a Mercury-Uranus conjunction. Mercury represents communication and thought processes and Uranus is the awakener and brings change. This is a great day to get information that will dramatically change your world.
The card that I pulled for this week is The Child of Water from the Gaian Tarot. The child reminds us that we must go with the flow and experience the world from the perspective of a child. Look at everything around you as if it is the first time you have seen it. Approach the world with awe and without any preconceived ideas. Then watch the magic happen.
