The theme for this week is crystal clear intentions. The Archangel card that I pulled says, “Be clear about what you desire, and focus upon it with unwavering faith.” This would be a good week to set your intention to let go of limiting beliefs.
Today, Monday, October 31, is Halloween, which is also known as All Hallows Eve and Samhain. Although the current tradition of Halloween has overshadowed the significance of this time of year, its importance must be taken into account this week. The original meaning of Halloween, started with Samhain, which was a Celtic holiday. The ancient Gaels believed that on October 31, the boundaries between the worlds of the living and the dead overlapped and the deceased would come back to life and cause havoc such as sickness or damaged crops. However, the overall significance of Samhain is the changing of the Gaelic calendar from the lighter half of the year to the darker half. The Catholic Church, in their conversion efforts, changed the name to All Hallows Eve, which is the prelude the eight-day celebration that included All Saints Day and All Soul’s Day. It is interesting to note that the Ancient Hawaiians also considered this time of year significant. It is when the Pleiades rise in the sky each year, which signifies the beginning of the Makahiki season, which like the Gaelic calendar signifies the ending of the old year and the beginning of the new one. So, consider this time, the end of the old you and the beginning of a new you. Then you would be utilizing the ancient energy surround this time of year.
Today, the aspects concern a square between Venus and Neptune. The energy will affect the relationships in your life. For some, it will be enacted through “putting on rose colored glasses.” For others, it will be demanding that people live up to their unrealistic expectations as to what a relationship should be. Just as the significance of Halloween, you will experience illusion or deception. How it is played out will depend on what you believe is true.
Tuesday, November 1, we will experience the effect of a five planet t-square. This will accentuate the energy of the Venus-Neptune square from yesterday. With Mars jumping into the picture, the energy is there to escalate the emotions in relationships. Communication will be muddled, so this is not the time to assume what people mean with their actions or words. You will have to take the effort to ask and listen. If you do that, the energy will be beneficial for healing. Again, I cannot emphasize enough, that what happens depends on what you believe is true. If you believe that you cannot trust people or that people always let you down, then that is what you will experience.
Wednesday, November 2, Venus square Chiron today, which makes is a good time to heal old issues from the past. Start with forgiving yourself, as you did the best you could with the information you had. It is time to quit punishing yourself for the poor choices you made in the past. Venus and Mercury both move into Sagittarius, which will make communication easier.
Thursday, November 3, Mercury squares Chiron today along with Venus. In the process of forgiveness, you will want to tell everyone off today. This may appear to be a way to let go, but it will not give closure the way you want it to. Instead, work on cutting the cords between you and that person or event. As long as you are upset about that event, it is sucking the energy out of you. Uranus will trine Mercury and Venus today, which will accentuate healing.
The card that I pulled for this week is Synthesis: the Eight of Crystals (Earth). No matter how chaotic the week appears to be, there is a Divine Plan guiding it that is working. Things are changing and coming into being. It may not be how you choose to see it work, but positive change is happening. Remember that life is like an Etch-a-Sketch. In order to create a new picture, you have to completely erase the old. This is what is happening as we move between worlds and leave the light side of the calendar for the dark. Dark simply means going within. You have to be what you want to manifest before you see it in reality.
