Astrology for the Week of August 16, 2010

The theme for this week is Cradleboard: Ability to Respond. The message is that the cradleboard is your future and you must choose how you respond - what action you are going to take. Do not sit and wait for someone else to help you, use your creativity, speak your truth and do something. You must take action of some sort in order to get the energy moving.

The week starts off on Monday, August 16, with Jupiter in opposition to Saturn. You will find yourself in situations where an opportunity that you want presents itself along with a suitcase full of obstacles. Remember what appears to be negativity, a disaster or a roadblock is really a blessing in disguise. It is showing you the beliefs that you need to let go of in order to move forward. It does not mean that the opportunity was not meant to be, it simply means you cannot progress ahead with the beliefs that are holding you back. Think of your life as a remodeling project. You cannot bring in in the interior decorators when there is dry rot, mold or the electrical work does not meet code. Do as much work as you can in the first part of the week because Mercury goes retrograde on Friday, August 20, creating issues with communications, travel and technology of all kinds. This will show the process down.

Friday, August 20, Mercury goes retrograde at 12:58 PM PDT until September 12. The reminder here is BACK UP YOUR DATA. Place important “I cannot lose this information” data in more than one place with more than one file name.

Saturday, August 21, Saturn squares Pluto. The message here is to look at the people, places and things that you have in your life that hinder and obstruct you. Cord cutting is the theme for today. Imagine you have a cord to the person, place or thing and cut it. If you fall into “I can handle this” denial because of fear, then the Universe will do it for you but not the way you would want or at the time you would like. The positive aspect of this energy is that it is a good time for a fresh start in relationships, work, or other important projects.

Octahedron: Child. This card represents your inner child. It is a reminder to listen to the magical part of yourself and to honor the intuitive messages that you will receive.

The Outsider: Osho Zen. The message of this card is that even though you feel at times separate from the Divine, the connection is still there. It is very easy during times of extreme stress to feel alone or abandoned by God. It is the deep rooted fears of the Ego that are deeply rooted in the past that causes this illusion. The only way to break this illusion is to accept yourself. The simple truths are always the hardest.

Triple Goddess: 5th Chakra. What is your truth? What do you believe, not what you were taught to believe? Or are your beliefs what you want to be true and not what you really believe deep down? This is what you will find out as your beliefs will be tested.
