Astrology for the Week of February 6, 2012

The theme for this week is “loving what is.” Sometimes we get so caught up in the enticing claims of the law of attraction, that we are constantly living in the future by projecting energy into what we want to create. This ignores a fundamental truth that we must first accept where we are at, and love what we have created up to now in order to find happiness and fulfillment. This is true even if what you are experiencing is economic, health or relationship setbacks. The first step says that we must joyously accept everything as it is in this moment as perfect, and that you can and do create perfection.

Tuesday, February 7, Saturn goes retrograde. Saturn is a slow moving planet. It will take time for the reversal to be complete. In old astrology, Saturn is the planet of limitations, obstacles, institutions, authority, structure, and traditions. Old astrology would say that Saturn going retrograde means that you will experience a lack of power and obstacles in your life. It would mean that you had to decide what everything meant and what was the lesion that you needed to learn. You obviously did not get it, which is why you are back in the same limiting, power-sapping circumstances again. That is old astrology. 2012 demands a different perspective. 2012 says that there is nothing to learn from anything. It is all an illusion and now you must become aware of that. Events, good and bad only happened because they were an experience. There is no lesion to gleam. No higher state to ascend to. As Jesus said, “Heaven is here on earth.” So, take advantage of this wonderful energy of Saturn retrograde, which will show you where you have left your power. It is time to be authentic you. That means dropping the layers of untruth that you have covered yourself with. Break through the self-limiting illusions promoted by our world.

We will also experience a Full Moon in Leo at 2:54pm PST. This will occur in conjunction with the Sun. The Full Moon will illuminate your desire to be autonomous and experience life to its fullest. The Sabian Symbol for this Full Moon is “A houseboat party crowded with revelers; the water reflects its lights.” (http://cafeastrology.com/sabiansymbols_degreemeanings.html.) This symbol encourages joyful celebration with community. We are stronger when we collaborate and work together. Heaven is here. Let it in.

The cards that I pulled for this week is Notice the Signs. We receive messages and answers all the time but usually we are too busy to notice them, or ignore them if they are not what we think they should be. Pay attention to everything around you. What answers and solutions are being shown to you? They are right in front of you.
