Astrology for hte Week of November 1, 2010

The theme for this week is the Outsider (Osho Zen). The artist’s depiction of the Outsider is a small child is at a locked gate looking at the world beyond. This goes along with a paper that I just finished today for graduate school based on Martin Seligman’s Theory of Learned Optimism. Seligman’s premise is that we learn helplessness as a child when we fail in our own eyes relative to our perceived goals. Seligman also maintained that we can change this perception by challenging our thoughts. Is it really true? What really is happening? Is there another option? Is it true? Over and over again. Keep that in mind this week. You are the child at the locked gate. What really is happening? Where are you limiting yourself?

The first part of the week is relatively quiet to allow integration of the energy of last week. However, things move quickly later in the week. On Thursday, November 4, Mercury trine Jupiter which allows for intense and deep communication. A great day to get to the bottom of things.

Friday, November 5, Chiron goes direct. Chiron is the asteroid of healing, so if things have been at a stand still no matter what energy technique you have utilized or mantra you have consistently affirmed, the energy will change to allow the breakthroughs that you desire.

Saturday, November 6, we have a New Moon in Scorpio (Deep and Intense). The Sabian Symbol for this New Moon is “Telephone Lineman at Work Installing New Connections.” Think about what this means as everything has a positive and negative aspect. For some of you, this means that the answers and clairity you desire are revealed. For others, the answers are ones that you did not want. You want to control what happens. You wanted a specific “answer” and that is not how the universe works. Read Larry Dossey’s book, “Be Careful What You Pray For,” for more information.

On Sunday, November 7, Neptune goes direct. This will increase creativity and also ease up the pressure we have been experiencing the past year and a half. Until this summer, the major slow moving planets have been retrograde creating a feeling of being stuck in the mud. Now they are going retrograde which allows forward movement. Yeah.

The card that I pulled for this week is Source (Osho Zen). Are you grounded? Chances are “No.” Take time to ground yourself this week through active or inactive meditation. If you like to sit still and tune within go for it. For others, active meditation such as walking or running with the intention to connect yourself to Source works also. Find what works for you and do it.
