Astrology for the Week of September 6, 2010

The theme for this week is silence. Silence is important for many reasons. In this day and age of instant and constant communication, silence is essential for the integration and assimilation of information. You really do need time to “digest” and process everything that is happening in your life. Silence also helps you to be in the moment and silence is where you will find the answers that you have been seeking elsewhere.

On Wednesday, September 9, we have a New Moon in Virgo at 3:30 am PDT. New Moons are always about new beginnings and this one being in Virgo puts an emphasis on health and the environment. Changing the world begins with changing ourselves within. Decide what new habits you desire to cultivate and begin to implement them today.

Thursday, September 9, Jupiter continues its retrograde by moving from Aries to Pisces. This will bring up spiritual desires and quests from the past. What ideals motivated you years ago before you became absorbed with the “realities” of life such as making a living or raising a family? It is time to take them off the shelf and re look at how you can integrate them into your life. Mars is trine Neptune today, and that will motivate you to walk your talk.

Friday, September 11, is a wonderful day for healing, physically and spiritually as Mars will be trine Chiron, the asteroid of healing. It is interesting that this is happening on the anniversary of 9/11. The healing will occur on many levels.

On Saturday, September 12, Mercury retrograde ends. Yeah. If your life has been like mine, the past couple of weeks have been fraught with computer and printer frustrations. I am ready to move beyond this!!!! This is also your message: what are you ready to move away from?

The cards that I pulled for this week are:

The Path of Balance: Triple Goddess. The soul message for this card is one from Lao-Tzu. “Follow diligently the Way in your own heart, but make no display of it to the world. Keep behind and you shall be put in front; keep out, and you shall be kept in. He that humbles himself shall be preserved entire. He that bends shall be made straight. He that is empty shall be filled. He that is worn shall be renewed.”

Rites of Passage: Change. This card says that you have changed and that you must honor this. Sometimes, it is hard to see how much we have grown because everything appears to be the same whereas in reality it is not. Our world does not honor all passages in life, so you must do that. Give yourself a new name, create a ritual, or have a party. Celebrate the passage into a new phase of your life.
